Dr. Leila Cattelan is a board-certified dermatologist recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Born and raised in Montreal, she completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Anatomy and Cell Biology, with a double minor in Pharmacology and Italian Studies. She then obtained her medical degree from the McGill University Faculty of Medicine, followed by a five-year residency in dermatology.
Dr. Cattelan’s expertise spans both medical and aesthetic dermatology, with her clinical and academic work focused on advancing patient-centered care and innovation in both skin cancer diagnosis and aesthetic treatments. She has authored more than 18 peer-reviewed manuscripts and presented her research nationally and internationally.
Her publications in aesthetic dermatology explore regenerative techniques, including exosomes, polydeoxyribonucleotides and stem cell therapy, as well as the psychosocial dimensions of aesthetic interventions. Within medical dermatology, Dr. Cattelan has contributed to research on the epidemiology, diagnosis and management of skin cancers such as melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma and sebaceous carcinoma.
Dr. Cattelan is also engaged in the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and aesthetic medicine, having co-authored studies on AI applications in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. She previously served as a medical consultant for Clinia, a company focused on leveraging AI to enhance access to evidence-based literature and support clinical decision-making for healthcare providers. She currently serves as a medical consultant for Galderma.

Beyond the Clinic
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cattelan embodies the same vibrant, well-rounded lifestyle she aims to inspire in her patients. A former competitive cheerleader and tennis instructor, as well as a certified PADI Divemaster, she now enjoys spinning and Pilates classes and walks along the canal with her partner and their beloved French bulldog.
Fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish, she values human connection, whether through meaningful conversations with her patients or while discovering new restaurants across the city. She brings the same energy, balance and intentionality to her personal life as she does to her practice.
